Bharathakshemam is a company registered under Section 25 of The Indian Companies Act 1956, incorporated on 20th November 1965. The sole aim of the company is to extend Charity to the poor and needy of the society, mainly in the area of medical treatment and education. Social Service also is one of the main activity of the company.
The unique feature of the company is that the funds for the charity is mobilized from the profit earned out of the chits/kuries activities. No donations are received from the public. Now, by the introduction of Central Chit Act 2012, the charitable companies are unable to start new kuries and hence our income sources are narrowing day-by-day.
It was our long cherished dream to start a home for the aged people of the society, who are left alone for the simple reason that their kith & kin are away outside India, toiling to earn their livelihood. Though they are very much interested to stay with their beloved parents and to extend maximum possible love & care to their loved ones, the busy life of the present world do not permit them to do so.
Our new project “Eden Villas” will be of great help to these ‘pravasees’ who are earning valuable Foreign Exchange for the country, as well as to the Malayalees employed outside Kerala. We are here to look after their beloved ones, extending utmost care and enjoyment. “Eden Villas” is a project of Bharathakshemam, specially designed to cater the needs of Senior citizen. The salient features of the project ‘Eden Villas’ are explained elsewhere.
As a part of our commitment to humanitarian activity, the company is regularly extending financial support to ‘Aruvi Rehabilitation Centre’, a residential school exclusively catering the needs of mentally retarded children. The school is specially designed to cater the needs of mentally retarded children, to help them to attain self-reliance, to impart training to help them to engage in a useful vocation and thereby paving way for accommodating them in the main stream of the society.
